SÍNTESIS Y CARACTERIZACIÓN DE MADERA TRANSPARENTE CON RECUBRIMIENTOS DE Ag, A PARTIR DEL ÁRBOL DEL CHAKÁ (BURSERA SIMARUBA)

Resumen

En este trabajo se reporta una metodología para obtener maderas transparentes de Bursera Simaruba, que es un árbol abundante en la región sureste de México. Los análisis de morfología muestran que esta madera posee poros que se modifican con el proceso químico de la delignificación y la infiltración. Como resultado se obtienen maderas transparentes con transmitancias del orden del 40%, que pueden ser disminuidas en la región del infrarrojo cercano con recubrimientos en forma de película delgada de plata. Estas bicapas madera/Ag son una opción interesante para aplicaciones en construcciones sustentables y amigables con el ambiente.
